Mark first became interested in photography while living and working abroad, but since returning to the UK in the early 1990's, his local habitat of Dorset and the New Forest has been the main focus of his attention, providing inspiration for his passion for landscape photography.
Mark completed a City and Guilds course at the Arts Institute, Bournemouth, in 1994. Since then, his pictures have appeared in numerous national and county publications and have been used for book covers and on cards and calendars.
Mark is a regular contributor to the UK photographic press, in particular Digital SLR Photography magazine and in 2007 wrote their 'Landscape Master class' series. He shoots stock images for various image libraries, including the fine-art image library Trevillion Images. His first book, 'Romantic Dorset', is being published by Halsgrove in April 2008.
Having shot Fuji Velvia on a Pentax 67 for a number of years, in 2006 Mark made the switch to digital and now shoot mostly on a Canon 1ds II and Canon 5D.
