Glenn studied Documentary Photography at University of Wales Newport under the tuition of Magnum photographer David Hurn, he worked regularly for The Independent and The Times, on news at home and abroad including the Somalia famine and Aid to Bosnia, before taking a staff position on the Welsh national daily newspaper The Western Mail, becoming deputy Picture Editor then Picture Editor on its sister paper Wales on Sunday.
In 1998 he was awarded the UK News photographer of the Year title with his portfolio including pictures from the funeral of Princess Diana.
Glenn returned to the freelance ranks after his award and has produced several books including "Africa Against All Odds" photographing the continents highs and lows from Tourism to Aids.
Since 2000 Glenn has travelled to Africa almost 60 times to 16 countries working for NGO's and photographed all aspects of African life, he has a vast experience of working in all situations on the continent and has run his own Photo-Africa workshops in the Gambia.
He has also been commissioned to take photography workshops in Malawi, Nigeria, and Maldives and is a photography consultant for The Thomson Foundation, an organisation whose aims are to teach journalists around the world.
